Travelling with friends in Bohol

Want an enjoying yet less expensive trip to Bohol? Then you have reached the right blog.. These pictures were taken last June on our 4 days trip to Bohol, and here are some tips on how to maximize your vacation allowance..

- First is to be resourceful enough to look for promo-flights.. like from the Internet.. blogs.. web sites.. etc.it was lucky for us to catch one of the Cebu Pacific's promotional trips. (As usual you get to play their ever famous "Bring Me" game..) We had a 2hrs and 30mins flight from Manila to Tagbilaran. Though a slight delay (1-2hrs.. lol) is very common on their flights, it maybe because we are about to be on a vacation that we were so caught up with our excitements and lost track of the waiting time..

-Second is to research about the place. Where are the low-cost yet nice hotels, or should you get a house or lodge. Where else should you go to dine and to experience the delicacies of the Bohol without spending huge amount of your vacation allowance, should you pack back-ups like canned goods? What are the famous spots, and when is the best time to go there and of course what are the "gimiks" or do they also have a night life there.. \(n-n)/

- And finally.. when you have all of the information above, the third step is to plan your trip and have an itinerary before hand!!!

Day 1: Upon our arrival we have a van waiting for us (It was of course pre-arranged..) While we were on the road, we interviewed the driver about the possible activities and new places although we already have an idea and have a pre-reservation made at the Dumaluan Beach Resort. The resort wasn't much but ambiance was great enough to have a very nice and relaxing vacation. There is a swimming pool in front of our Villa and its a 3 minute walk from the beach.. After a launch at the resort (food not recommended though.. <(^@^)>) we, visited the nearby Bohol Beach Club Resort to reserve our third day activity.. After that we had a good time swimming in our own resort's pool..

Day 2: Our second whole day in Bohol, was a trip around Panglao Island and Tagbilaran's 10 Tourist's Spots . The first stop was at the Blood Compact monument, and then a visit in the coral made Baclayon Church. From the church, we visited the caged Flying Lemures and the largest Python in Bohol. Another 10 minutes ride, we stop to have a tour inside the Clarin's Ancestral House which is said to be the oldest house in Bohol. Form the Clarin's underground modern Cafe, we headed for the much awaited special smorgasbord Seafood Fiesta lunch while riding a boat at the Loboc River, a mouthwatering lunch while being serenaded by a local group of singers. On the We stop at the Loboc river's 5 small Waterfall and we were greeted by the music of dance numbers of old and young folks of Bohol.. After setting off from the boat, we proceeded to the 30 mins ride, to get to the famous Chocolate Hills, where we had to endure a more than 100 steps just to reach the top of the viewing area, to see the lovely scenery of the proud Chocolate Hills.. after taking 100s of pictures, we had another 10mins ride to see the newly opened Butterfly farm, and then experienced crossing the Hanging Bridge of Bohol and finally an encounter with the smallest nocturnal monkeys ever known. The Tarsiers.. (see picture for more details.. lol\..(n_n)/)

Day 3: The day tour at the Bohol Beach Club! The non-guest fee was 350/pax inclusive of very nice launch meal.. We a very nice Balicasag plate its a variety of sea foods.. Yummmm!!! The huge resort has 2 swimming pools, one for the Guest and the other for the non-Guest, but whichever you chose to stay you'll surely have fun specially when you are with the right people to have a vacation with. And because the food was so great, we decided to have a night swimming and dinner at the expensive feel of Bohol Beach Club Resort.

Day 4: Snorkeling was soooo fun.. We weren't able to do the Whale watching because of the weather (but was mainly because of an out of the blue change of "plans").. Nevertheless, we had great time playing at the beach, making fun of ourselves like having free spa out of the sea sand and rubbing it on each other backs.. taking pictures when we feel like it, swimming, snorkeling to see the orange, blue, white, black and other colorful starfishes scattered all over the beach.. and making friends with the Korean and Chinese tourists that we all met from that great place... more on my next blog.. gtg for now.. Ashita!!! <(n_n)/

Oh yeah.. there are no free C2 drinks anymore when you ride at the Cebu Pacific.. so remember to drink up before boarding the plane unless you are willing to spend a 50 buck for a bottle of C2.. right Gail? =D

First time in...

Bora treats..

These pictures were taken on the summer of April 2006 (04/5-9/06).. I went there with my huggy boyfriend Andy and his co-instructors from the University. It was everyone's first time in Boracay, and no one volunteered to make any itinerary at all.. We got here by sea.. You bet it was downright scary and not to mention pretty much challenging each time you transfer from one ship to the other.. But as you see the white sand of Boracay, everything just turn into pure excitement. Boracay is full of LIFE from dusk to dawn..So of course everybody enjoyed the vacation. We stayed in Station 2 and it appears to be the most liveliest among the Boracay's 3 stations.. The first night was a taste of the Bora's nightlife, it was pretty much fun.. When you get there visit the Bazura disco club, and the rest would follow..till my next blog.. ashita!! \(n_n)>
